This is actually the song that's been stuck in my head for most of the week...
And a small aside that has nothing to do with music: If you're going to be out of town on a Friday night, and you leave your alarm clock at home... do not leave it set to go off at 5AM. Even the dogs thought it was too early...
Update: Side effects of an alarm clock going off somewhere in the house at 5AM on a Saturday morning have been erased by Mr. Thundra. Many thanks.
Hey... how about fewer cat photos and MOAR DOGS!
I'll have to walk over to the park...that's where they all are.

Well?? Get walking! Do the stroll, thundra.

But it's cold and rainy, he whined.
P.S. I just remembered I have a doggy pic or two from the day I took all those butterfly shots.

That's ok... I've got two dogs here I can glance at. It just seems you have a bit of a cat bias. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but...
It's chilly here, but at least it looks like it might be sunny.
Posted by: Jennifer | April 21, 2012 at 07:52 AM
Three new pics added.

I probably do have a cat bias...I like them and they like me.
We never had dogs when I was little, always cats.
But now that we have dogs, my pro-cat bias is lessened. My dad's dog, Theda, loves me.
~

I liked cats as a small kid, but soon found I was very allergic to them, which has dampened my luv. They, unfortunately, like me. I had a best friend who's cat always liked to sleep on my head. For some reason, Buttercup did not bother my allergies like most cats do.
Now dahgs!!! Bundles of heaven on earth. :) I've pretty much had a dog/s since I was 6. There were probably 18 months over the years where I didn't, but most of the time I have... and probably always will.
Of course Theda loves you! You take her for walks and put chicken broth on her food!

From the previous comment thread:
I am to be shunned by the world. ~Pinko Punko
I am shunning him here cuz if I shun him in that last thread, he may not see it.
I shun out of love.
I am in *obsessive* music mode right now. The sound, the lyrics, the energy, the creativity, the musicians as the people they are and were, the way they move, smile, hold themselves. It's like I've fallen in love all over again.
Now I'm gonna turn Rock 'n Roll up to 11.
Posted by: blue girl | April 21, 2012 at 11:04 AM
LOL!
Even 11 isn't loud enough this morning!
Posted by: Jennifer | April 21, 2012 at 11:08 AM
I think I'm on my 20th playing of Rock and Roll. It will just have to be the song of the weekend... which is a relief. I've had Simple Song in my head too long this week and will welcome some simple ROCK AND ROLL!
My neck can't move like it once did however... my neck cannot turn it up to 11. :(
Posted by: Jennifer | April 21, 2012 at 11:11 AM
I love when Rock 'n Roll comes on the radio out of the blue. I've always wanted to sing it in a band, and when I hear it, I get to have that fantasy. It's as fun as the winning the lottery fantasy. :)
Jennifer, I would've responded to your comment earlier, but I had to listen to Rock 'n Roll three times straight!!
Posted by: blue girl | April 21, 2012 at 11:16 AM
I think I'm on my 20th playing of Rock and Roll.
Imagine about 5 years of that, and you can picture me in H.S. and freshman year of collage.
In collage, I absorbed both the Ramones (and such as), and the Grateful dead. (Imagine that!)
So they joined Led Zeppelin in the rotation.

Were you wearing bell bottoms during that time, thunder? And how belled?
Posted by: blue girl | April 21, 2012 at 11:39 AM
Jennifer, I would've responded to your comment earlier, but I had to listen to Rock 'n Roll three times straight!!
YouTube needs a repeat/loop button.
I think anyone of this time listened to this in HS, thundra... I loved the Ramones, but am hit or miss with your beloved GD. I have my limits.
And yes, I am trying to imagine that... after talking with you, I'm trying to imagine a less-adult thundra. :)
Posted by: Jennifer | April 21, 2012 at 11:40 AM
I've always wanted to sing it in a band, and when I hear it, I get to have that fantasy. It's as fun as the winning the lottery fantasy. :)
I know those fantasies, BG! Yes, almost as fun as the real thing... and less hassle.
That seems like it'd be an easy one to make happen though.

I'm trying to remember who the LZ haters are around here. Was Pinko one?? I know TLB is!!
Posted by: Jennifer | April 21, 2012 at 11:43 AM
Was Pinko one??
I hope so! We can shun him more!
Posted by: blue girl | April 21, 2012 at 11:46 AM
Oh man, Pinko is so shunned.
P.S. I don't recall blue jeans without bell bottoms even being on sale in H.S., b.g.
~
Posted by: ifthethunderdontgetya™³²®© | April 21, 2012 at 11:49 AM
Can't remember if TLB is a LZ hater. I do know she's not too fond of the Beatles!
And it's so funny these bloggy friend relationships. When I wrote about the fantasies above, I thought immediately of Brando having his fantasy conversation with the Rush guy in my Mick Jagger fantasy, and how happy that would make him. lol
Meta fantasy!
Posted by: blue girl | April 21, 2012 at 11:49 AM
Pinko Punko's picture is next to "Shunned" in the dictionary.
Posted by: blue girl | April 21, 2012 at 11:51 AM
It's either TLB or Brando who is a mega-LZ h8tr!!! I seem to recall it being TLB, but my memory is not what it once was...
LOL at the meta blogger fantasy.
Posted by: Jennifer | April 21, 2012 at 11:54 AM
P.S. I don't recall blue jeans without bell bottoms even being on sale in H.S.
I remember it happening overnight it seemed... Sophmore year, and even part of Junior year, bell blottoms were still OK... then Calvin Kleins entered and ruled the world. It was during '79 that Calvin's made their way to the midwest.
Posted by: Jennifer | April 21, 2012 at 11:55 AM
Pinko Punko's picture is next to "Shunned" in the dictionary.
I also think Shunned is his middle name.
Posted by: Jennifer | April 21, 2012 at 11:57 AM
Pinko Shunned Punko... It has a ring to it!
Posted by: Jennifer | April 21, 2012 at 11:57 AM
LOL! I just saw that I had typed, "Bell Blottoms"... No, I never recall Blottoms as being popular. :)
I still have a nasty "quiana" shirt from the late 70's. Is that how you spelled it?? Kiana? Quiana?? Something like that. It was so ugly, I held onto it for proof.
Posted by: Jennifer | April 21, 2012 at 11:58 AM
Ahh!
Freshman year for me was 1977-78. Kind of cool being able to drink in a bar with my college i.d., even though I was 17.
~

Pinko Shunned Punko
He is so shunned he even shuns himself.
Posted by: blue girl | April 21, 2012 at 12:17 PM
How'd you manage that? Was it still 18? They assumed you were 18 since you were in college? I remember using a Cap'n Crunch ID in college for a while. Things were a little more lax back then.
I graduated from high school in '80. Such a dividing line... From the earthy 70's, directly into the Reagan Era of opulence.
Posted by: Jennifer | April 21, 2012 at 12:17 PM
He is so shunned he even shuns himself.
LOL! I was thinking the same thing after I typed it!

I remember using a Cap'n Crunch ID in college for a while.
lol, man I miss the 70s!
Posted by: blue girl | April 21, 2012 at 12:19 PM
Yes, they assumed you were 18 if you had a collage i.d.
This lasted until the drinking age was raised to 21. It's hard to imagine being in college under those conditions.
P.S. I haz raised the flag at 3Shuns!

I was spared the Blueberry Whoppers, but he still deserves shunning for the Skittles, and a variety of other sins against gastronomy.

GET OUT OF MY HEAD.

Shun on You Crazy Diamond!
That Shins song is unabashedly pretty, which is something I don't often say about a song featuring a male vocal.
Clamato... GACK! Why do I always imagine there's sand in the bottom of the bottle... and maybe a leech.
Don't fear the Clamato- it tastes more of celery seed than dehydrated clam broth.
