There were a zillion!!! But they told me not to turn on the orb-detector on my camera. I do not disobey the orbs. They're cranky... and will send more.
My one brothers had a lot of their stuff so I remember it playing in the house. I've got a couple of CD's... one a compilation CD, and I want to say the other was "Days of Future Passed". Anyhow, I have fond memories.
Being the youngest of 5, my early musical memories were usually not made by my choices, but by what was playing in the house. The same brother who was big on MB's was also very fond of Emerson, Lake and Palmer. No one rocks the organ like them anymore! :)
We're getting hit right now with a storm we weren't supposed to get. :(
It does look pretty but of course I've had to be driving in it all day long.....
There's actually some sun mixed with the clouds here already. Dog spent last 2 hours on the porch (she likes it out there much better than in the house...apparently she likes communing with nature, watching birds, etc.)

Grizzled had a rare Saturday at work so he did the early tour. I had something equally as rare... I slept in. I awoke, flanked by two gently snoring dogs.
OT, I went down and dropped off my Christmas smudgies for framing today. They gonna look amazing; our local frame shoppers are really skilled.
I awoke, flanked by two gently snoring dogs.
On of my college friends, while taking care of his sister's dog in addition to his own (both of them about 60-70 pounders) said he would wake up on winter mornings, the dogs on either side, pinning his arms beneath the blankets, and a cat on his chest. Nobody apparently had much interest in letting him get up to go to work.
Pretty!!1
I bet there's orbs...you just can't see 'em.
;-)

Do. Not. Want.
Even if they are pretty.

I should also point out that that little funky and lovely burr oak on the left was grown by Grizzled... from an acorn! It's now at least 12ft tall.

That photo really reminds me of this.
Same tones, obviously, but also similar feel, even without the people....

LOL! Very similar!
My brother had that album.

My brother had that album.
(shhh. I just digitized it. I'm not proud.)

I always liked The Moody Blues. I never understood the hate-fest. Grizzled said they were just Pink Floyd wannabees... Oh well.
Posted by: Jennifer | February 24, 2012 at 11:35 AM
I always thought they were more halfway between Floyd and the Beatles.
Posted by: zombie rotten mcdonald | February 24, 2012 at 11:48 AM
I never really got into them that much, but like Long Distance Voyager.

I was a Zeppelin-The Who person, soon followed by the Rolling Stones (not to mention the Ramones, Clash, Sex Pistols, and such as).

Yes, yes, all of those are good. Nothing but good there.

most notably, thunder seems to prefer bands with high mortality rates.

That comment did make me literally LOL.

I know what you mean about feeling the quiet Jennifer. It's a tranquil photo.
And speaking of tranquil's opposite: untraquil... thunder? Why is it always so windy here? Are we in Kansas?
Posted by: blue girl | February 24, 2012 at 04:55 PM
Here? You mean Columbus, Ohio, where most of my earthly goods reside (crap that they are, mainly)?
I'm in West Va. right now. The wind just blew all the clouds away, and the stars are out.

Going out at 6 a.m. apparently leads to whining and pacing before noon.

We had some snow yesterday. It lasted about a half-hour.
Posted by: Substance McGravitas | February 26, 2012 at 01:19 AM
Here in the NY metro area, we tend to get more snow in March than in December, but this winter has been insanely mild.

And my winter hating self stayed home that day. Was only slightly embarrassed when it was mostly gone by 4:00
