i dont know if it's a stress dream, but my mom said she saw her sis (my aunt) stab her mother with a fork in a dream.

take it easy, Ms. Jennifer!

Was she done?!?! :)

You just have to decide which stranger you are going to love.

Love thy stranger as thyself...

I do have a watercolor set at home....

YAY!!!

For some reason I have nightmares about driving cars from the back seat. I drive around constantly stressed that the cops are going to pull me over or I'm going to get into an accident. But I never move into the front seat.

But do you watercolor, Gregor?!?! :)

So, fears of taking charge? Or so laid back you don't need to be in the lead to get where you're going?

I am usually going in reverse in my dreams and can't break no matter how hard I try... or, my vehicle of choice turns into a roller coaster.

I love your dream, it sounds like my life.

:)

Where was your dream garbage can?

LOL!

I believe Kathleen had borrowed it for her dream.

I like sculpture!

And by sculpture I mean arranging a bunch of odds and ends until I am pleased.

I'm in for watercolor.

Yay!

Gregor- feel free to substitute some pleasingly arranged odds and ends.

How about a spider picture?

My Baby Gregor Does Good Sculptures.

Somebody called for Zombee?

I sometimes have similar stress dreams involving cars, usually ones where the brakes don't work. I'm not driving very fast, as I recall, but I just can't make the car stop. Once or twice I think I had a fender-bender where I drove into a parked car.

Also, and I am not making this up, I had a dream just last night where I met you and Grizzled. I was on vacation somewhere, I think, we all had nametags, and you knew who I was right away. There was more but I can't remember it now; it's kind of on the tip of my mind, so maybe it will come back. (I read this post yesterday, which is probably why you all made it into my dream.) I do remember that you were both very nice, not doing anything weird or bad, nor was I. Who knows what Freud would say about all of this?

My Baby Gregor Does Good Sculptures

He don't care
For one night stands
And naughty girls
With sweaty hands
He got a thing
About carving wood
Or shaping a figure
From a lump of mud...

ZRM- you game?? You can use brain juices instead of watercolors if you wish!

Andy- I'm honored that Grizzled and I made it into a dream! And I'm also happy to hear that we were well-behaved. I am also glad to hear that none of us were driving. :)

I think I've had that dream, Andy. And yes, Jennifer and Grizzled were well-behaved. Zombee not so much.

Jennifer, I can be talked into it. Two conditionals: 1. In my life, I've done TWO watercolors that I've liked. TWO. No promises. I don't even know what kind of paper to use. And 2. A deadline will be trouble.

Also, nice job recognizing the Rezillos reference.

ZRM- fish (decider of parameters) said no holds barred and the stranger the better. I'm not going to go out of my way to use ubergood wc paper (cold pressed, etc, etc, etc). I'll probably just use some Bristol board that's not smooth.

Watercolor is not my fave, at least not strict, by the rules, watercolor, but fish said there are no rules, so I'm going with it! You should as well!

And, I don't think there's a deadline. I'll post them or link to them as they come in.

Voila, problem solved.

I tried to post a Rezillos YouTube, but all embedding was VERBOTEN!!!!

I proposed WC because I assumed it was not the medium of choice for most people.

Comfort zones blah blah blah.

Also not enough weird watercolor paintings.

Comfort zones blah blah blah.

So that means you'll be joining us??

Also not enough weird watercolor paintings.

True

my ex-partner loved watercolors. But she used them almost solely as washes, background stuff. Artless.

I usually overwork it. don't leave enough paper showing through.

So, let me get this straight: fish decided the parameters, but there are no rules? Don't strain yourself, finny.

Considering what fishes do in their water, I'm not sure I want fish to 'join in'. :P

So, let me get this straight: fish decided the parameters, but there are no rules? Don't strain yourself, finny.

Ha Ha! I thought you'd like that. :) Actually, he added the no rules after my inner parochial school student asked him about the rules... I like to use pen in my watercolors. I also like to put light on dark, another no-no.

Well, maybe fish can do a fish dung Virgin Mary!

fish decided the parameters, but there are no rules?

Seems perfectly bullsian to me.

So colouring in a woodcut is OK.

I would say yes, since the rule is there are no rules... colored woodcuts... perfect.

ya gotta stay within the lines though, you anarchist.

This is only vaguely à propos, Jen, but did you read about that new six-volume fantastically well-produced and edited boxed volume of Van Gogh's letters? Also extremely expensive of course. I was reading the review in the TLS and lusting after it, even though I don't really have room for it on my shelves and have supposedly imposed a ban on buying more books...Here ya go, for the next time you have 480 bucks to spare --

By the way, that entire new edition of Vincent's letters is available online -- for free!

His full name is Chris Ofishi?

Dan- I think I'll have to settle for the free version. Thanks for the link.

Hi Jennifer, is it snowing in Chicago?

We've been getting snowed on since noon.

BIG TIME!
~

is it snowing in Chicago?

Yes indeedy! It's been snowing pretty steadily since the middle of the night... no signs of it stopping for awhile, plus a switch to a NNE wind will give some additional lake effect.

Funky snow though... kind of dry, yet wet. Feels like you're walking around on mounds of cornstarch.

walking around on mounds of cornstarch.

It's no walking on sunshine, but perhaps with the right back up band you could have a hit!

"I've got absolutely nothing to say..."

But since you say "nothing" so well, you've got to keep on going! :)

when do we vote?

What are the bribes on offer from the candidates??

Thanks scribbler!

K- I say anytime, before, during or after, if we're following bullsian rules, however, I'll leave it up to fish, decider of voting parameters.

AK- I've been bribed not to tell.

thundra- I have a love/hate relationship with that song...

But since you say "nothing" so well, you've got to keep on going!
Is this the "Samuel Beckett in 140 characters" competition?

Well, Jennifer, it may help to know that Kimberley Rew, the writer of that song, was in The Soft Boys with Robyn Hitchcock before going the New wave route....

So I give the song a mulligan. Anybody who helped make an album like "Underwater Moonlight" has more than enough credibility for most zombeez....

Say, does anybody besides me smell the whiff of Red Singlet And Bandoliers around this post?

And BTW, "Red Singlet and The Bandoliers" would make an EXCELLENT cow-punk band name.

Say, does anybody besides me smell the whiff of Red Singlet And Bandoliers around this post?

Been there, done that! Pffft. I was thinking fishnets and mules...

what? did we Zardoz Saying Yes already? It's hard to keep track...

Maybe we should mess up an AG post!!

Oh... no, you haven't. I thought you meant I was going to do a watercolor with a red singlet and a bandoleer.

And speaking of watercolors, I'm hoping to be able to get to it this weekend. I'll have some peaceful time tomorrow afternoon/evening.

I think the most this blog has ever gotten has been a demizardoz.

I didn't even realize how close I was to that. It pays to only post as often as fish.

Hey! I resemble that remark.

I told you the key to getting comments is to not actually post anything...

Yeah. Sure. The key to having NO comments is to switch commenting software....

REBOOT.

I thought you meant I was going to do a watercolor with a red singlet and a bandoleer.

I thought you meant I was going to do a watercolor in a red singlet and a bandoleer.

There, fixed.

Yeah. Sure. The key to having NO comments is to switch commenting software....

REBOOT.

It seemed prudent given my desire to run for president.

Why is the right column of my blog missing?? Did you guys break it? You're paying...

Now that was odd... all items from the far right had been moved over to the left column... I was able to straighten it out, but my "layout/design" page had the faintest hint of zombie and fish whiff...

I AM DEATH

BREAKER OF BLOG

I'll know who to blame if the comments disappear...

I don't care what Substance McGravitas says, DeathFish was one of the LAMEST Norwegian black metal bands....

Zombie and fish whiff?

Is this the new perfume all the kids are wearing these days?
~

It's going to replace Axe!

Mine evidently disappeared too... Guess we hit over load!!

Oh no!!!
