When I started this blog over 2 years ago, I was pretty hush-hush about it. I didn't want to be censored by what I thought family might think or what others, who have known me a long time, might expect. I know myself well enough to know that I would be putting up what I thought wouldn't make waves and I was tired of not making waves. Frankly, I'm amazed sometimes at what little things can make such big waves.
Well, it's been almost 28 months and slowly, but surely, more people have found out and there is a definite trail back to me. I suppose I always knew that would happen since I wanted to put my artwork up and if you're going to do that, by gawd, you want your name with it. I no longer care. I am what I am... twisted, compassionate, artistic, bawdy, angry, nice, funny, boring, too old, too young, too liberal, too conservative, too opinionated, too swayed by others opinions... I will never be everything to everyone and shouldn't be and I hope that if people don't like what they see here, that they will take no offense, move along and find another place that is more to their liking. If they see something they like, well, please come back! If I'm related to you and you see something you don't like, please don't take it personally.
Anyhow... as you will notice, I have now added a photo of myself. Those of you who know me will both recognize me and not recognize me. The sunglasses and the shadowing do enough to disguise me to the average bear, but it is still me. It's the square jaw that will always be mine, the smile that should be on my face more often and the hair, that although changing, still defines me to myself and to many. I have decided to put a photo up as a way to stop distancing myself from my blog. Too many people have stopped by thinking I was El Snacktator or Thelma or yes, even Cutie Pie. I have parts of all of those in me, but they are not solely me.
