« Gack | Main | Oh how the snow mocks me! »

March 02, 2007

One night during a winter like this I sang, "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow" to my wife. She flung a glass of water on me.

Snag- I love snow, but snow has become a house guest that has overstayed its welcome... and I wouldn't even mind it as much if we could just get rid of the 2ft of underlying ice shards.

Are you familiar with the Trip Shakespeare song "Snow Days"?

You should become so. I play it every year at the first snowfall. It's well worth finding (on your file sharing network of choice, as it's been out of print for at least a decade).

It's amazing first snowfall music, and you will heart the story about the evil owner of the school bus company. I associate that song so deeply with snow that when I hear it in June it feels 15 degrees cooler for a minute.

I love blizzards, I do not like this 1/4 inch of ice on everything flat nonsense.

I will definitely find the song! Thanks for the recommendation.

Lance Mannion posted a cute pic of a snowbird at its feeder for you. Though you're no longer beleaguered by snow, I thought I'd do the same.
